Description

Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Jessica Rabbit Limited Edition Cel #422/500 (Walt Disney, 1989/93). "Why don't you do right?" This is an eye-popping Walt Disney Studio hand-painted limited edition cel titled "Jessica's Debut." It showcases her as she takes the stage at the "Ink and Paint Club." It was created in Disney's Ink and Paint department using archived drawings and artwork from Sequence 24/Scene 3. This was one of the single most difficult cels to create, as the sparkles on her dress were all done by hand. She is presented in full-figure measuring 7" on a 16 field cel with a matching photographic print background. Released in 1993, this is the first studio hand-painted limited edition of Jessica Rabbit ever done, and it's been long been sold-out for 30 years. The popularity of Jessica Rabbit has made her a collectible unto herself and fans know that finding an image this extraordinary is nearly impossible. It comes complete with a studio-issued Certificate of Authenticity mounted to the back of the frame. The piece is framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 25" x 19". Very Good condition. Frame is sold as-is.
