    Description

TRON Ektachrome Continuous-Tone Transparencies and Exposure Sheet Group of 18 (Walt Disney, 1982). Here is an amazing group of 17 Ektachrome continuous-tone transparencies from the ground-breaking film, TRON. The development of TRON began back in in 1976, when director, Steven Lisberger became intrigued with the early video game Pong. The film received the Academy Award for Technical Achievement fourteen years after its initial release. The Technical Achievement Award is an honorary award that is given annually to those whose particular technical accomplishments have contributed to the progress of the motion picture industry. These 17 transparencies make up one frame or shot in the film and come from the personal collection of TRON's associate producer and visual effects supervisor, Harrison Ellenshaw. Included is the exposure sheet for this scene. An exposure sheet is also referred to as camera instruction sheet, or X-sheet. Exposure sheets rarely come to market and are hard to find. The Ektachrome continuous-tone transparencies measure 20" x 12". Normal production handling and wear. Overall Very Good condition.
