The Simpsons "The Simpstones" Limited Edition Cel #53/350 (Fox, 1999). "Yabba Dabba... D'oh!" This is a very hard-to-find hand-painted limited edition entitled "The Simpstones." This is a recreation of the couch gag from Season 4 episode, "Kamp Krusty." In this episode, the Simpsons run to the couch, only to see Fred, Wilma, and Pebbles Flintstone sitting there! This was a tribute to the long-running Prime Time success of The Flintstones. The Simpsons would eventually far surpass The Flintstones for longest-running animated Prime Time series. This great cel is hand-signed by Matt Groening as well as by Bill Hanna (1910 - 2001) and Joe Barbera (1911 - 2006). This is #53 of only 350. It has a Fox seal on the cel and Fox COA on back of the frame. It's nearly impossible to find these as they were an instant sell-out almost 20 years ago! In a glass-front frame measuring 24" x 21" with a mat opening of 16" x 13". Frame is sold as-is, cel condition is Very Good.
