Description
The Lion King Cast Member Only Limited Edition Cel #20/55 (Walt Disney, 1994). "Come on Timon, you guys have to create a diversion" says Simba. "What do you want me to do, dress in drag and do the hula?" responds Timon in the Oscar and Golden Globe winning film, The Lion King. Production cels were not used in the making of The Lion King so the studio hand-painted limited edition cels exclusively for the Disney Feature Animation Cast members. These cels were created using the original animation drawings. The cels were painted by the world-famous Walt Disney Ink and Paint Department located on the studio lot in Burbank. These "employee only" cels were never sold to the public making them very rare with only 55 pieces made. The piece is number 20 and is from Sequence 18B/Scene 33.5. This is wonderful 16 field cel with images of Pumba and Timon in the hula dance scene. Images measure 4" and 11". The cel is on a print background for presentation purposes. A Disney Feature Animation seal is on the cel and a Walt Disney Certificate of Authenticity is on the back of the frame. The glass-front frame measures 23" x 18" with a mat opening of 17" x 11.5". Frame is sold as-is. Artwork is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
