The Hunchback of Notre Dame Esmeralda and Frollo Employee-Exclusive Limited Edition Cel #244/290 (Walt Disney, 1996). "Dance, La Esmeralda. Dance!" A fantastic hand-painted limited-edition cel from Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame, spotlighting Esmeralda in her vibrant festival attire as she leans in toward Judge Frollo for a startling, disarming "kiss" (approx. 23:28 timestamp). Produced exclusively for Walt Disney Feature Animation employees and never sold to the public, this rare edition was created to honor studio tradition on a digitally animated film by translating a key moment into a classic cel format. From a small run of 290, this example is numbered 244. This impressive two-layer, 16-field cel-painstakingly hand-painted at Disney's renowned Ink & Paint Department in Burbank-faithfully recreates the scene's lively color and dramatic tension: Esmeralda's grace and defiance contrasted against Frollo's rigid composure. Presented over a scene-matched photographic background, the setup bears the official Walt Disney Feature Animation seal at lower right and includes a Disney Certificate of Authenticity.
