The Hunchback of Notre Dame Clopin Limited Edition Employee Only Cel (Walt Disney, 1996). The movie opens in 1482 Paris with Clopin, a Gypsy puppeteer, telling a group of children the story of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. This is a limited edition of 113 hand-painted character cel setups from Walt Disney's 24th animated feature film The Hunchback of Notre Dame. It is one of 14 selected limited edition 16 field cels, hand-painted at the world-famous Disney Ink and Paint Department located on the studio lot in Burbank, California. These cel setups were made exclusively for employees of Feature Animation. This cel features the Gypsy puppeteer, Clopin and is paired with a copy/print of the original background. The piece is in a 20.5" x 16.5" frame with a mat opening of 16" x 11.5". Because The Hunchback of Notre Dame was produced without any production cels that combined with the rarity of Disney Feature Animation employee only cels makes this a unique opportunity for animation collectors. Fine condition. From the MacLaughlin Family Disney Collection.
