    Description

The Dognapper Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck Animation Drawings Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1934). Startled by the news that dognapper Pete is fast approaching, Donald leaps onto Mickey's lap. This is a sequence of 3 original drawings of Mickey and Donald as motorcycle cops in this early and very funny short directed by David Hand. It was the first adventure story featuring this classic duo and the second of only three B&W shorts that Donald appeared in. These very images can be seen around the 1:02 mark near the beginning of the film. The graphite drawings of Mickey and the very rare long-billed version of Donald measure approximately 4.5" x 3" on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper. The sheets are numbered 141, 144, and 145 respectively. This is a unique opportunity to own multiple images of two of the world most iconic cartoon characters from the earliest days of Disney animation. Each drawing shows light tanning, edge wear, and handling wear; otherwise condition is Fine.
