The Art of Hanna-Barbera "Theme Park" Signed Limited Edition Cel AP#2/10 (Hanna-Barbera, 1991). Hanna-Barbera released its first multi-character hand-painted limited edition cel in 1989, called "Symphony of the Stars." It was an almost overnight sell-out. They began in the early 1990s to issue hand-painted small editions of oversized cels that showcased their large library of characters. One of the very early Limited Editions they produced was called "Theme Park." Bob Singer did the line work for this piece. It boasted 21 of Hanna-Barbera Studio's biggest stars, including characters from The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You, The Yogi Bear Show, Top Cat, The Huckleberry Hound Show, The Quick Draw McGraw Show, and Muttley from Wacky Races. This is an amusement ride theme pan cel with an overall size of 39" x 12". This is a rare Artist Proof Edition, #2 of only 10 Artist Proofs made. This cel is also hand-signed by Bill Hanna (1910 - 2001) and Joe Barbera (1911 - 2006). This piece was an instant sell-out over 25 years ago. It is one of the most desired of all the Hanna-Barbera multi-character limited edition cels. It was featured in Michael Mallory's book Hanna-Barbera Cartoons as a fold-out spread on pages 190-192. This large oversized pan cel is on a photographic print background for presentation purposes. Minor handling wear. Very Good condition.
