Steamboat Willie Mickey Mouse Hand-Painted Limited Edition Cel #18/275 (Walt Disney, 1992). It all started with a mouse, and this is the image most closely associated with the "birth" of Mickey Mouse! This is a limited edition hand-inked and hand-painted cel, recreated from the original artwork from the historic cartoon, Steamboat Willie -- the first cartoon to use synchronized sound. Hand-painted at Disney's famous Ink and Paint Department, this cel bears a Disney seal in the lower right and is #18 of only 275 made. The background print was faithfully reproduced by a Disney background artist, using sketches and frames from the original film. This rare edition has been sold out for nearly 30 years. Plexiglas front framed to an overall size of 21.5" x 19", and matted to an image area of 12" x 9.5". In Fine condition, and comes with a COA on the back.
