Space Ghost Layout Drawing (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1966). Likely by the hand of Homer Jonas, in collaboration with creator Alex Toth (1928 - 2006), this is a spectacular original animation layout drawing featuring the titular hero of the hit sci-fi/superhero series Space Ghost. Alex Toth made his name in comics working on Green Lantern, Zorro, All Star Comics, and All-Star Western, among countless others. After decades in the industry, he then set a new high standard for action and superhero cartoons with his storyboards, character designs, and layouts for Hanna-Barbera in the 1960s and 70s. This fantastic low-angle image of Space Ghost is rendered masterfully in graphite and blue pencil on 12 field animation paper, measuring an enormous 8.75" x 7". The drawing bears the production numbers AX-6, SC63, and BG21. Minor handling and edge wear with slight age-related toning, and the condition is Very Good.
