    Society Dog Show (Mickey à l'exposition canine) Ensemble de 2 dessins d'animation de Mickey et Pluto (Walt Disney, 1939). Mickey et Pluto sont décidément hors de leur élément à l'exposition canine, et pourtant ils finissent par remporter la médaille dans ce court métrage réalisé par Bill Roberts. Le lot est constitué de deux superbes dessins d'animation originaux sur feuille perforée pour ce court métrage, qui est également le dernier à présenter Mickey sans pupilles. Le premier dessin représente Mickey et Pluto en entier à 6'29". Ils sont dessinés à la mine de plomb et au crayon orange, et la feuille comporte le numéro 145 en bas à droite ainsi que diverses notes pour l'animation et l'encrage à droite du dessin. Le second représente un portier snobinard qui découvre avec effroi que Mickey et Pluto sont arrivés en scooter. Le dessin de 10 x 15,5 cm est à la mine de plomb et au crayon rouge et bleu. La feuille comporte le numéro 9 en bas à droite ainsi que le tampon du Département artistique. Les deux dessins sont en assez bon état avec de légères traces de manipulation et d'usure sur les bords.

Mickey and Pluto are definitely out of their element at the big society dog show and yet they ultimately take home the medal in this Bill Roberts-directed short. This is a pair of fantastic original animation 12 field 5-peghole drawings from this short which is notable as the last to feature Mickey with his big pie eyes. The first drawing features bother mickey and Pluto in full-figure from the 6:29 mark. They are drawn in graphite and orange pencil, numbered 145 in the lower right corner, and include an array of animator and inker notes to the right of the art. The second drawing is of a snooty doorman who discovers much to his alarm that Mickey and Pluto have arrived on a scooter. He measures 6" x 4" drawn in graphite with red and blue pencil and numbered 9 in the lower right corner. The paper also bears and Art Department stamp. Both drawings show minor handling and edge wear. Condition is Very Good.
