Scooby-Doo Model Sheet Limited Edition Cel #449/500 (Hanna-Barbera, 1997). Scooby-Doo, where are you? Our favorite sleuthing hound is right here, in a glorious hand-painted limited edition cel of Scooby with a happy expression on his big, lovable face. The cel is placed over a print with graphite model sheet images of Scooby, with no less that thirteen different poses, as drawn by H-B animator Bob Singer. To top it all off, the cel was hand-signed by Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera -- like, wow! The cel is nicely matted with an opening size of 16" x 13", and framed with Plexiglas for an overall 22.75" x 20". A Hanna-Barbera gold seal is on the lower left of the cel, and a H-B Certificate of Authenticity is attached to the reverse. Fine condition.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
