    Description

Popeye "Dynamite Muscle" Signed Limited Edition Cel, #71/500 (King Features Syndicate/Fleischer Studios, 1990). In the early 90s, King Features released a series of hand-inked, hand painted limited edition cels featuring the Popeye cast. These were then signed by Fleischer Studios legendary animator Myron Waldman (1908 - 2006). This cel is titled "Dynamite Muscle" (or, is that "muskel"?), and features a large image of Popeye from the waist up, measuring at 9" high. He has just eaten one of his requisite cans of spinach and - in a pose reminiscent of the classic 30s shorts - his flexed bicep displays a bundle of lit dynamite. Mr. Waldman's signature is written in gold ink in the bottom right corner, just above the edition number: 71/500. 12 field cel has been placed over a print background for display purposes. COA from King Features is included. In Fine condition.
