Popeye "Brushing 101" Signed Limited Edition Cel, #260/500 (Fleischer/King Features Syndicate, 2000). "Brush-a, brush-a, brush-a..." (Though this cel may be more "I-Yam-A", than "Ipana!" In the early 90s, King Features released a series of hand-inked, hand painted limited edition cels featuring the Popeye cast. These were then signed by Fleischer Studios legendary animator Myron Waldman (1908 - 2006). This cel is titled "Brushing 101" and features Popeye in a hygienist's smock demonstrating proper brushing technique (on a set of false teeth) to his four nephews. Pipeye, Peepeye, Pupeye, and Poopeye (!) all pay close attention and practice dutifully. Popeye stands at nearly 9" tall and the boys measure 7.5" across from first to last. Mr. Waldman's signature is written in ink at the bottom right corner, just above the edition number: 260/500. 12 field cel has been placed over a print background for display purposes. King Features/Toon Art seal is affixed to bottom right corner. COA from King Features is included. In Fine condition.
