Popeye and Olive Oyl "Dancing on the Beach" Signed Limited Edition Cel, #86/250 (Fleischer Studios/King Features Syndicate, 1991). It's no secret that Olive Oyl, the original "string bean", fancies herself a femme fatale. Here, she shows off her impressive (lack) of curves, as she dances the hula under a Polynesian sunset. Popeye accompanies her undulations with his ukulele... Bluto spies their fun from behind a row of bushes, and decides he can't allow it -- there's sure to be a brawl shortly! Throughout the '90s, King Features released a series of hand-inked, hand-painted limited edition cels featuring the Popeye cast. These were then signed by Fleischer Studios legendary animator Myron Waldman (1908 - 2006). Mr. Waldman's signature is written in ink at the bottom right corner. A 12 field cel has been placed over a print background, added for display purposes. King Features/Toon Art seal is affixed to bottom right corner. COA from King Features is included. Minor areas of paint loss to Olive's grass skirt. Good condition.
