    Description

    Pocahontas Powhatan Employee Only Limited Edition Cel #23/30 (Walt Disney, 1995). After the use of hand-painted production cels stopped, Walt Disney Feature Animation created cels from original animation drawings and offered them solely to employees who worked on the film. These cels were never sold to the public and are highly sought after by collectors. This one features Powhatan as the spirit of Pocahontas' mother convinces him to choose the path of peace (Sequence 29, Scene 19). This hand-painted cel, which was painted at Disney's Ink and Paint Department on the studio lot, has enhanced ink lines and is placed over a high-quality background print created from the original painting. It bears a special Disney Feature Animation seal and comes with the original "Employee Only" Letter of Authenticity. This one is unique in that it is signed by the supervising animator for the character, Ruben Aquino, making it an ultra-rare item. Condition is Fine.
