Pinocchio and the Blue Fairy Limited Edition Cel #260/275 (Walt Disney, 1990). A lovely hand-painted limited edition cel, created by the Disney Ink and Paint Department, using artwork from the Disney Archives. This is from Sequence 1.5 Scene 51 where Jiminy Cricket looks on as the Blue Fairy brings Pinocchio to life. Later, she names Jiminy as Pinocchio's Official Conscience. She then instructs Pinocchio with these words: "Prove yourself brave, truthful, and unselfish, and someday you will be a real boy." This was one of the most difficult limited edition cels to make because of the almost transparent wings and sparkles on the Blue Fairy. The small edition cel was an almost instant sell-out 25 years ago, and is very difficult to find today. Nice 10" and 2" images, with a Disney seal on the cel and Disney COA on the backside of the 21" x 18" mat. Fine condition.
