Peanuts - It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown "Welcome Great Pumpkin" Limited Edition Cel #39/150 (Bill Melendez, c. 1990s). The third Charlie Brown television special premiered on 10/27/66 on CBS. It was nominated for an Emmy. It has become a fall tradition, shown on Network television virtually every year since its first appearance. Production cels are few and far between from this beloved show. This is a rare, hand-painted, limited edition cel, featuring Linus in the pumpkin patch, with his welcome sign. He waits in vain for the Great Pumpkin to appear, while all other Charles Schulz Peanuts characters go trick or treating, and then to the Halloween Party. This limited cel includes a studio seal, and was hand-signed by the director, Bill Melendez. This long sold-out edition of only 150 rarely comes up for resale; this one has the low number of 39. Matted with an opening of 12" x 9", with an overall mat size of 17" x 14". Very Good condition.More Information: EDIT: added Charles Schulz
