Peanuts - A Charlie Brown Christmas "Tree Lot" Limited Edition Cel #212/500 (Bill Melendez, 1993). This historic television Charles Schulz Peanuts Christmas Special premiered on 12/9/65 on CBS. It has begun a holiday tradition, airing each and every December on television since its premiere. As the supply of original production cels from this show dwindled down to a very few, Bill Melendez released this hand-painted limited edition cel of Charlie Brown and Linus in 1993, in an edition of only 500. It was an instant sell-out, 25 years ago. Great images with sizes of 4" created from original drawings from Scene 72. The cel is hand-signed by the director of this special, Mr. Bill Melendez (1916 - 2008). Matted, with an opening of 11" x 9"; overall mat size is 16.5" x 14.5". As a bonus, an original graphite drawing by Bill Melendez of Charlie Brown saying "Hooray" is on the mat. Minor fading to the signature on the cel; otherwise, Very Good condition.
