Description
Mulan Illustrations, Script, and Model Sheets Group (Walt Disney, 1998). "Who spit in her bean curd?" This is a wonderful collection of items collected by the legendary voice actress June Foray (1917 - 2017) during her work as the feisty Grandmother Fa in the 1998 Disney animated feature Mulan. Included in a binder are three original pencil sketches of Grandma Fa recording her own voiceovers by Disney animator Jeffery J. Varab. They are made out to June with one reading. "To June, I'm going to have a great time animating to your voice acting!!! All the best, Jeffery J. Varab '96." Along with drawings are June's marked-up scripts, studio introductions/memos and even details on arrangements for a car service to take her to and from the studio. A fascinating and personal look into the work-a-day world of The First Lady of Animation. Finally included are a pair of studio clean-up model sheet prints of Grandmother Fa on 17" x 11" paper.
