Description

Mr. Bug Goes to Town Book and Board Game Group of 5 (Fleischer Studios/Various, 1941). Vary rare selection of items commemoration a great animated feature film that never got its due back in the day. Time has been a bit kinder to this beautifully animated film, but bad timing (the start of US involvement in World War II) kept the movie's box office receipts low, and hindered sales of items like this group of books and a boxed board game. The books included two copies of the Garden City Publishing 28-page hardcover with dust jacket (book measures 8" x 10.25); An Australian softcover 32-page storybook measuring 9.75" x 14.5"; and a softcover department store giveaway 52-page storybook from K. K. Publications. The board game is from Milton Bradley, and includes all playing pieces (this is the original version with dice and three styles of playing pieces, not the later spinning dial version) and two instruction sheets; box measures 19" x 9.5" x 1.75". Game box shows some minor wear with one split corner. Both books with dust jackets have plastic Library-style coverings. Condition ranges from Good to Very Good.
