Description
Mickey Mouse Sketch and Disney Feature Animation Crew Cel (Walt Disney, c. 1980s). Here's a Mickey Mouse studio sketch and Disney Feature Animation crew cel made as a gift for Dorse Lanpher (1935 - 2011). Lanpher was a visual effects animator whose credits include; Sleeping Beauty (1959), One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961), Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988), The Lion King (1994), and The Simpsons Movie (2007). The graphite Mickey sketch is hand-torn into a 6" round sheet affixed to a 13" x 18" board. The board is signed by cast members that includes Disney Legends Blaine Gibson and John Lounsbery. Also, in this lot is a hand-inked, hand-painted 16 field cel featuring 14 animators from Disney Feature Animation. The original is believed to be by visual effects animator T. Daniel Hofstedt, who worked with Dorse. It's a great selection of "behind-the-scene" artwork from Disney Feature Animation. The sketch and board exhibit edge wear, toning, and stains. In Fair condition. The cel appears in Very Good condition with tape along the top border.Auction Info
