Description
Lilo & Stitch Lilo and Nani Employee Only Limited Edition Cel #1/32 (Walt Disney, 2003). Nani sings to her little sister Lilo at the 53:04 mark in Disney's hit film for 2003. This modern classic was the studio's 42nd animated feature and its success began a franchise that includes three direct-to-video sequels, starting with Stitch! The Movie, and three television series spin-offs. In this lot is an incredibly rare employee-only limited edition cel. Only 32 cels of this image were made and this one has the distinction of being the very first. The image of Lilo and Nani from the 53:04 mark measures 4.5" x 6" on a 16 field cel over a print background. It bears a Disney seal in the lower right corner and comes complete with a studio-issued Certificate of Authenticity. Painted cels were not used in the making of this film so the studio offered employees the opportunity to order specific scenes that would then be created from original animation drawings by Disney's Ink and Paint artists. Each image was limited to how many were ordered and this is one of the smallest editions ever created. It's the first time we have ever seen or offered it.
