Lady and the Tramp Limited Edition Suite of 4 Cels plus Presentation Box (Walt Disney, c. 1980s). In the early days of Walt Disney's Animation Art Program, suites of images were released to tell a story of a film. This is a long-sold out suite of four 16 field hand-painted limited edition cels from Lady and the Tramp. This suite was an edition of only 275 and this is a rare matched set, all #150. The suite has been sold out for over 30 years. All cels are in a mats measuring 20" x 17" with mat openings of 14" x 11". The suite includes images of: large Lady and Tramp Close-up Sequence 8/Scene 12; Tramp and Tony Sequence 7/Scene 43; Tramp with Lady in her Muzzle Sequence 5/Scene 48; and Aunt Sarah with Si and Am Sequence 4.1/Scene 66. All these cels were created using original 1955 archived artwork and each cel was hand-painted at the Disney Ink and Paint Department on the Studio lot. A Disney seal is on each cel and Disney COA is on the reverse of mat. Large images range in size from 4" - 10". Very slight lamination separation around some outline areas, overall cel condition is Very Good. The velvet box they were shipped in is framed with glass for an overall size of 13" x 16.5". Frame is sold as-is; condition is Very Good. There are FOUR 16 field hand-painted cels plus the framed presentation box in this group.Auction Info
