    Description

    Lady and the Tramp "Beautiful Night" Limited Edition Cel #1/1 (Walt Disney, 1997). "So this is the night, and the heavens are right, on this lovely Bella Notte!" The Bella Notte scene in Lady and Tramp is considered one of cinema's most romantic moments, not only in animation, but in all of film. This is a rare one-of-one, hand-inked, hand-painted cel of Lady and the Tramp from the classic scene. In 1997, Walt Disney Art Classics took original 1955 production animation drawings, inking and painting cels directly from the drawings. No two cels were the same in these limited editions of only one. This cel comes from Sequence 3/Scene 36. It was drawing #88 in this most famous scene, initialed by both the inker and painter. The cel was painted at the Walt Disney Ink and Paint Department on Disney Studio grounds. Nice images of both Tramp and Lady, measuring 6" and 7". The entire edition was an instant sell-out at the time, and rarely ever turn up for resale. The hand-painted cel is on a print background for presentation purposes; a Disney seal is on the cel and a Disney COA is on the back of the frame. Matted with an opening size of 15.5" x 11"; framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 27" x 22". Frame is sold as-is. Very Good condition.
