Description
Kiki's Delivery Service "It's Going to Be Clear Tonight!" Limited Edition Cel #XVII - 2/20 (Studio Ghibli, 1989). After listening to the promising weather forecast, excited Kiki can't wait to start her witch apprentice journey! We have in this lot a marvelous hand-painted limited edition cel, reproducing the endearing image of our protagonist rushing to tell her mother that the right time to leave would be that night. Faithfully replicating what we see on screen at the 1:38 mark of the famous Hayao Miyazaki film, this limited edition cel features a wonderful image of Kiki wearing her rare first outfit and holding her father's red radio with an overall image size of approximately 2.25" x 4.25", shown on a high-quality printed background of her mother's workshop. This cel is numbered XVII - 2/20 in the bottom left corner and is offered on its original 12.25" x 9.75" glass-fronted frame, with the mat featuring the Art Collection of Ghibli Museum logo stamped on the bottom right corner. The lot includes the original box, a Certificate of Authenticity, and instructions to handle the frame and art. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. The box shows some handling wear and its label marks it XVII- 4/20. The cel is in Fine condition.Auction Info
