Hercules Hades Employee-Only Limited Edition Cel (Walt Disney, 1997). "Name's Hades, Lord of the Dead. Hi, how ya doin'?" This animated film had its world premiere on 6/27/97 which included an Electrical Light Parade down Times Square with New York dimming its lights. It also had a direct-to-video sequel as well as its own TV series. There were no hand-painted production cels in this film, so original feature animation drawings were used to make a series of 15 different scenes. Cels from these scenes were hand-painted by the Disney Ink and Paint Department exclusively for Feature Film Cast and Crew. This cel was created from Sequence 18 Scene 18. It is a 16 field cel on a print background for presentation purposes, bears a Disney Feature Animation seal, and comes with a Disney Certificate of Authenticity. Never sold to the public, these cels are extremely hard to find. In a frame of 22.5" x 17.75" under glass with a mat opening of 16.5" x 11.25". Frame sold as-is. Artwork is in Fine condition. From the MacLaughlin Family Disney Collection.
