Grim Natwick - Illustration Original Art (1930's). Grim Natwick (1890 - 1990) was a master at drawing the female form and one of the most renowned animators who ever lived. He is credited with the creation of Betty Boop, one of the few female animated cartoon characters to achieve world-wide acclaim, and was later hired by Disney to animate the lead character in the world's first feature cartoon, "Snow White." Natwick's work on the character of Snow White remains a highlight of that films' timeless beauty. Non-animation art by Natwick is exceptionally scarce, and rarely enters the market. The 10" x 12" ink and blue pencil rendering is on 13" x 14" board which has a caption on back that reads "A Run in Her Stockings." The piece shows minor handling and condition is Very Good.
