Description
Dudley Do-Right Signed Scene Cel (Jay Ward Studios, 1988). Dudley Do-Right premiered on television on 9/61 as part of The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. It was produced in Mexico to keep costs down and cels were thrown away. To meet the demand of collectors, hand-inked, hand-painted scene cels were created and sold at the Dudley Do-Right Emporium located next to Jay Ward Studios in West Hollywood. It ran from 1971 to 2005. Presented in this lot is an original scene cel of Dudley Do-Right on his horse. The 8" x 6.5" image is on a 12 field cel that bears a Jay Ward seal in the lower right corner. The cel is signed by animators Chris Jenkins and Bill Hurtz. The cel is framed to 17.5" x 15" with an aperture of 11" x 8.75". Frame sold as-is. Chris and Bill also signed the back of the frame. It's a wonderful image from a beloved '60s classic series.
