Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas "Why Santa, Why?" Limited Edition Pan Cel #82/500 Signed by Chuck Jones (MGM/Ted Turner, 1966/1994). "He turned around and saw a small Who! Little Cindy-Lou Who, who was no more than two." As that mean ol' Grinch starts to shove the Christmas tree up the chimney, he's interrupted by a sweet, innocent Who child, in this exceptionally cool hand-painted pan limited edition cel. Animation Legend Chuck Jones (1912 - 2002) produced several different limited edition cels based on this holiday favorite; he combined images of two to make this as his first pan cel, which has an overall size of 25" x 10.5". This particular cel, like all limited editions based on original Chuck Jones artwork, was a quick sell-out, and this one has been sold out for over 25 years! The cel has been hand-signed by Chuck Jones in the lower right, and includes a Linda Jones small holographic seal in the lower left. The cel includes a custom print background, added for presentation purposes. Matted with an opening of 24" x 9.5", and an overall mat size of 30.5" x 16". Fine condition.
