    Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas The Grinch and Max Animation Drawings Group of 2 (MGM 1966). The Grinch and Max emerge from a snow bank after losing their grip on the sleigh, in this exciting scene from the beloved holiday classic TV show directed by Chuck Jones (1912 - 2002). These are a pair of original production drawings of the title character and his faithful dog which can be seen around the 22:56 mark. Both are rendered in graphite and blue pencil on 12 field 3-peghole paper. The Grinch drawing is numbered 23 and measures 2.75" x 2.75". Max is numbered A-31 and measures 2.5" x 2.5". Both have scene and production stamps near the pegholes and bear Linda Jones seals in the lower left. These are adorable drawings from an enduring and beloved Christmas favorite. Some tanning along the right edge of the Grinch drawing and the pair show light handling wear. Condition is Very Good.
