    Description

Disneyland Bon Voyage! "It's A Small World" Host and Hostess Guide Illustration Art And Booklet Group (Walt Disney, 1964). It's a Small World, after all. So who best to explain the Host and Hostess duties to Disneyland employees than little Jiminy Cricket? On September 22nd, 1964, the "It's a Small World" attraction opened at the 1964 New York World's Fair in the UNICEF Pavilion. It was sponsored by Pepsi. After the Fair closed, it re-opened in Disneyland on May 28th, 1966. This group features not only the actual training booklet issued to ride operators, but it also includes six pieces of original Jiminy Cricket artwork used to create the booklet! The drawings were created by WED Enterprises, with each drawing on a separate piece of illustration board. They feature a translucent overlay which was used for color hold effects in blue in the finished book. The artwork is done in ink over blue pencil. The image sizes range from 3" x 5" to 6.25" x 8.75". The employee-only booklet was never sold to the public. It is a 16 page, 8" x 8", two-color interior with a full-color cover. Booklet and six pieces of artwork are all in Fine condition.
