    Betty Boop by Myron Waldman 1 of 1 Limited Edition Cel and Original Drawing (King Features Syndicate, c. 1990s). Anyone for tennis? Betty Boop is ready to serve! Wonderful original hand-inked, hand-painted one of one cel by Myron Waldman (1908 - 2006), former head of animation at the Fleischer Studios, and later Paramount's Famous Studios, where he worked on cartoons featuring Superman, Popeye, Casper, Raggedy Ann and Andy, and more. He is credited with creating Betty's pet dog Pudgy, who starring in his own series of shorts, and he was the recipient of the prestigious Winsor McCay award in 1997. Betty stands 5.25" in both the cel and the original graphite drawing; the two are matted together with openings of 6.5" x 8" and 8" x 10". Both pieces are signed by Mr. Waldman. Framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 25" x 18.5". Frame is sold as-is. Fine condition.
