Beauty and the Beast Limited Edition Cel #120/350 (Walt Disney, 2000). Beauty and the Beast was Disney's first animated feature film to receive an Academy Award nomination for Best Film, and this was before the creation of the Animated Feature Film category! This timeless classic had two direct-to-video sequels, became a hit Broadway play and was a box office smash as a live-action film in 2017. The original animated film used no hand-painted production cels, so the studio created this hand-painted limited edition cel titled "Destiny's Dance." It displays a sequence of Belle and the Beast in the famous ballroom dance sequence over a printed pan background. It's a regular edition of only 350 and this is #120. The art is framed with a large mat opening of 17" x 32", in a 29" x 44" frame. It is an impressive piece of art, both in size and beauty. The mat is hand-signed by Robbie Benson and Paige O'Hara, the voices of The Beast and Belle. The cel bears a Disney seal and comes with Certificate of Authenticity on the back of the frame. Condition is Fine.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
