Anastasia Limited Edition Cel #5695/7000 (20th Century Fox, 1997). "Have you heard there's a rumor in St. Petersburg? Have you heard what they're saying on the street? Although the Czar did not survive one daughter may be still alive: the princess Anastasia!" Here is a hand-painted limited edition cel of Anastasia, Dimitri, Tsar Nicholas II, and the cute puppy Pooka, taken from the box office hit Anastasia directed by Don Bluth. It was originally given to the cast and sponsors, and later sold to the general public. This 1997 classic was Don Bluth and Fox Studios' most profitable film, grossing $139 million from a $50 million budget. Set in early 20th Century St. Petersburg, it tells the highly fictionalized tale of the Grand Duchess Anastasia as she learns her true identity with the help of two con men. This fantastic piece has a 20th Century Fox seal and certificate of authenticity. The combined image area of the characters is approximately 10" x 9". The cel is matted with a window size of 13" x 10" and an overall mat size of 19" x 16". The condition is Very Good.
