Description
"The Wrong Number" Bugs Bunny Limited Edition Cel #118/500 Signed by Virgil Ross (Warner Brothers, 1992). " Eh, what's up doc? Who? Franz Liszt? Never heard of him, wrong number!" says Bugs as he answers a phone inside his concert piano. This limited edition cel is based on the classic Merry Melodies short Rhapsody Rabbit which was directed by Friz Freleng, and released on 11/9/46. It's a sequential hand-painted limited edition cel made from original production drawings by animator Virgil Ross. Titled "The Wrong Number," it was part of the Warner Brothers Studios Master Series of limited editions and is unique in that the art showcases multiple Bugs in sequence. The cel image measures approximately 7" tall and is presented over a print background. This edition of only 500 pieces has been sold out for over 25 years. It is numbered 118/500, hand-signed by animation legend, Virgil Ross (1907 - 1996) and bears a studio seal. A Warner Brothers COA is affixed to the back of the frame. Framed under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 16" x 13" in 24" x 21" frame. Condition is Very Good. The frame is sold as-is.Auction Info
