"The Perfect Wave" Bugs Bunny Limited Edition Cel #26/100 (Warner Brothers, 2000). Bugs Bunny has on occasion disguised himself as a mermaid, in order to fool a Russian dog ("I am looking for little gray rabbit!") in the 1944 short Hare Ribbin', and and again in 1997's From Hare to Eternity, for the benefit of Yosemite Sam. In this cool hand-painted limited edition cel, a surfing Bugs encounters a cute "merbunny" leaping up from the waves -- what a delightful twist! This tough-to-find piece was issued in an edition of only 100; this one is #26. The cel has been hand-signed by the artist, animation legend Chuck Jones (1912 - 2002), and features a Linda Jones seal in the lower left corner. The print background has been added for presentation purposes. Cel is in a plush mat with an opening of 12" x 10", with an overall mat size of 18" x 16". Fine condition. Surf's up!
