Description
"The Evolution of Bugs Bunny" SOLD-OUT Limited Edition 32" Pan Cel #394/750 Signed by Chuck Jones (Warner Brothers, 1990). Legendary Warner Brothers director Chuck Jones released this interpretation of the various stages that Bugs Bunny went through over the course of his development. Based on standard human evolution charts, the first couple of images start with Bugs as a prehistoric creature, but by the third iteration he takes on the look from his debut in Porky's Hare Hunt (1938). Four more profiles show Bugs in notable stages of development until his final look as of 1990. It's a wonderful hand-painted pan cel with seven full-figure images of that Wascally Wabbit by one of his best directors. The piece is hand-numbered 394/750 and signed by Chuck Jones (1912 - 2002) in the lower right. The art is in a 41" x 24" frame under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 32" x 13". The Warner Brothers 50th logo is on the mat. Cel condition appears to be Very Good. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition.Auction Info
