"The Art of Hanna-Barbera" Advertising Art Group of 4 (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1970s). From deep within the executive offices of Hanna-Barbera Productions comes this collection of original art used in the creation of a trade publication ad for the studio. It features Bill Hanna (1910 - 2001) and Joe Barbera (1911 - 2006) playing chess together with the Great Grape Ape looking on. The pieces on the chessboard are a host of popular studio characters. In the lot is the original photo used to make the ad, the rough concept mock up in graphite and marker, the final hand-inked back and white photo-ready art and a Xerox proof. The four items in the group measure in a range of 14" x 16", 12" x 11", 9" x 12" and 6.5" x 5". This is very rare studio promotional art featuring the creative geniuses and studio founders. Minor handling and edge wear; otherwise, condition is Very Good.
