"Rival Romeos" Oswald the Lucky Rabbit Limited Edition Cel #18/95 (Walt Disney, 2008). Walt's first animated star Oswald the Lucky Rabbit came back to the Walt Disney Studios in 2006, as part of a trade deal that involved ABC sportscaster Al Michaels moving to NBC's Sunday Night Football. Here is one of the first ever hand-painted Limited Edition cels produced by Disney of Oswald, created from the 3/19/28 short Rival Romeos. This cartoon was directed by Walt Disney with animation by Ub Iwerks. In this short, both Oswald and Pete try to date Sadie. This is a hand-painted limited edition cel of Oswald strumming his banjo as he courts Sadie. It is an edition of only 95, and this is #18. The black and white hand-painted cel is on a print background for presentation purposes. Nice 4" image of Oswald. A Disney seal is on the cel and a COA is on back of the frame. Matted with an opening of 12.5" x 10", and framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 22" x 20". Frame sold as-is. Cel is in Fine condition.
