"Old Glory" Porky Pig and Uncle Sam Signed Limited Edition Cel #20/39 (Warner Brothers, 2003). Uncle Sam teaches a young Porky Pig some important facts about US history, in this splendid hand-painted limited cel The edition size was extremely small, with only 39 pieces produced; this is #20 from that edition. The image is based on the 1939 Merrie Melodies short, directed by Chuck Jones. The cel is signed by legendary inker and painter Martha Sigall (1917 - 2014), who had a 53-year career in animation, and was the 2014 recipient of the June Foray Award for her lifetime of work. Matted with an opening of 9" x 11.5", and an overall mat size of 16" x 18.5". A Linda Jones seal is on the cel, lower left corner, and a Linda Jones COA is included. Fine condition.Auction Info
