Description
"Night on Bald Mountain" Fantasia Limited Edition Cel #38/275 (Walt Disney, 1997). "Amidst his midnight revelry Chernabog, the Slavic god of the night, commands a swell of supernatural flames." In 1997 Walt Disney studios released one of their most complicated hand-painted limited edition cels. It was from the "Night on Bald Mountain" sequence of Fantasia and featured Chernabog. This cel has 12 hand-inked lines, 16 different paint colors, three airbrushed colors, and one transparent color. It was painted at the Disney Ink and Paint department located on the studio lot using original archived production artwork from Sequence 11/Scene 57. With very few production cels of this Chernabog known to exist, this limited edition of only 275 is in high demand.. Cel is in a frame of 24" x 20" with a mat opening of 15" x 11". Disney seal is on the cel and studio COA is on the back of the frame. Condition is Very Good and frame is sold as-is.Auction Info
