Description
"Little Whirlwind" Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Limited Edition Cel #69/950 (Walt Disney, 1988). "I'll clean up your yard!" says Mickey Mouse to Minnie Mouse, inside her house baking. She replies, "Alright, but no more clowning!" Mickey replies, "Ok toots, it's a deal!" So Mickey begins to clean her yard in an effort to get some of Minnie's homemade baked goods. This short was directed by Riley Thompson and released on 2/14/41. It had the new Mickey design, which saw him slimmer, with a bigger head and newly-styled ears. Animators on this short included Fred Moore and Ward Kimball. This is an excellent hand-painted limited edition cel that was created using archived 1941 animation drawings. It was hand-painted at the Disney Ink and Paint Department, located on the studio lot. Great image sizes of 4" and 5". You can see this image around the 1:19 mark into the short. This cel was released in 1988 as part of the studio's "Mickey Mouse Sixty Years With You" anniversary celebration. It was part of a two-cel suite released with another cel, from The Alpine Climbers. A Disney seal is on the cel. Cel is on a print background for presentation purposes. This beautiful 16 field cel was an edition of 950 and this is low number 69. A photocopy of the Disney COA originally issued with both cels is included. The cel has been sold out for 30 years! Fine condition.More information about Walt Disney Studios - Fab Five.
