"Deception" Aladdin Limited Edition Cel #151/500 (Walt Disney, 1993). With no production cels used in the making of Aladdin, Walt Disney Art Classics used original archived drawings and artwork to create a hand-painted limited cel of Aladdin, Jafar and Iago. This is from Sequence 15/Scene 11; Aladdin, posing as Prince Ali, has just made his first entrance into the Palace while the Sultan is off on a magic carpet ride. Prince Ali is questioned by Jafar. This was painted at the Disney Ink and Pant Department on the Studio lot. It is a long-unavailable edition of only 500 pieces; this is #151. Nice large images of 8" and 9.5". Cel is on a print background, added for presentation purposes. Matted with an opening of 16" x 10", and framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 25.5" x 19.5". Aladdin will receive a new live-action film release starring Will Smith as the Genie in 2019! Plexiglas front has a scratch along the lower right corner of the image; frame is sold as-is. Cel condition is Very Good.
