"Any Bonds Today?" Looney Tunes Limited Edition Cel #98/500 (Warner Bros, 1990). Irving Berlin wrote this catchy tune and Warner Bros. stepped up to animate, both at the behest of the US Government, to aid in the war effort. Porky (as a sailor), Elmer (as a Marine), and Bugs (supplying lead vocals), all take to the stage together to convince the audience to pitch in. This cel is numbered 98 of 500; it comes with a COA as well as an insert from Bob Clampett Animation Art, giving some of the history of the short film. Cel is matted (unframed) and placed over a print background. In Fine Condition.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
