    Description

"A Tribute to Termite Terrace - Road Runner" Beep, Beep Signed Limited Edition Cel #30/200 (Warner Brothers, 1998).
The ending of the classic Merrie Melodies short Beep, Beep (1952) inspired this fantastic hand-painted limited edition cel. In this 1952 Chuck Jones-directed cartoon, Wile E. Coyote sets up a fake railroad track with a sign reading "R.R. STOP" in his never-ending attempt to catch and consume the fast-moving Road Runner. Of course he knocks Wile E. off his feet and onto the track; naturally, the track is now real, and a train flattens the poor coyote as the Road Runner watches from the caboose! Road Runner's overall image size is approximately 5.5" x 7.5". The 12.5" x 10.5" cel, which has been sold out for over 20 years, is lightly affixed to a black paper backing. Signed by animation legend Chuck Jones (1912 - 2002) in the lower right, with a Linda Jones holograph seal in the lower left. Comes with a Linda Jones Certificate of Authenticity, and a photocopied Linda Jones letter that accompanied the cel when originally sold. Excellent condition.
