Lady and the Tramp "Siamese Cat Song" Si and Am Production Cel Setup with Painted Background (Walt Disney, 1955). "We are Siamese if you please, we are Siamese if you don't please. Now we're looking over our new domicile; if we like, we stay for maybe quite a while..." Are there more terrifying Disney Villains than these two Siamese Cats, Si and Am? This is an amazing trimmed hand-inked, hand-painted production 2-cel setup of both Si and Am. Lady walks by a green picnic basket, and the bells begin to play as Si and Am jump of the basket and go into the "Siamese Cat Song." You can see this image about 30 seconds in to the song. Great large image of 7" x 5". The cels are trimmed to 11" x 8", and placed on a hand-painted custom background, added for presentation purposes. Matted with an opening of 13" x 11", with an overall mat size of 20" x 16". As a bonus, the mat is hand-signed by Disney Legend Inductee, Mr. "Chip and Dale," Bill Justice (1914 - 2011). Bill has said he was given the assignment to animate these characters because Walt Disney knew he did not care for cats! One of the largest images of Si and Am we have seen. Very Good condition.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
