Lady and the Tramp"Bella Notte" Production Cel and Master Background VIP Setup (Walt Disney, 1955). "...and they call it Bella Notte." Story man Joe Rinaldi was an excellent artist, and his detailed concept art for Lady and the Tramp was considered key to developing the look of the film, and to the film's success. Here is a special VIP setup presented to Joe by the studio. This exceptional setup is from the film's pivotal scene at Tony's Italian restaurant, showing Tony and his cook Joe as they serenade the dogs while they share a dinner of spaghetti and "meats balls," generously provided by Tony (who calls Tramp "Butch"). Using a production background of the restaurant's back alley (it's noted as 7.0 71 in the lower border, seen at the 47:08 mark in the film), the Disney Studio Arts Props Department carefully trimmed to outline hand-inked, hand-painted production cels of Tramp and Lady (as seen at the 46:08 mark) with Tony, and Joe, and affixed them to the background. The setup was then sprayed with a matte fixative to preserve it and cut glare for display purposes. For hardcore fans of Lady and the Tramp, this one-of-a-kind piece is a dream come true! The setup is matted with an approximate opening of 16.5" x 10", and an overall mat size of 20" x 15.5". Small stains and a 1" tear to the mat. Minor handling wear. Very Good condition. From the Joe Rinaldi Disney Archives.
