    Description

Lady and the Tramp Back Alley Scene Pan Production Background (Walt Disney, 1955). "Hey Pidge, what are you doing on this side of the tracks? Oh poor kid, we got to get this off!" These are the words of Tramp to Lady after he rescues her. This is when a pack of angry dogs was chasing Lady after she ran out of the pet store, where she was muzzled. This is an original pan hand-painted background from the scene with Tramp and the angry dog pack fight. This background can be seen right after they run away and he is watching them leave. Background is marked Sequence 5/Scene 42. It's painted in gouache on pan background board measuring 30" x 12.5", with a painted area of 25" x 11". Backgrounds in this film were painted by a group of very talented artists. The background roster included Claude Coats, Ray Huffine, Ralph Hulett, Al Dempster, Thelma Witmer, Eyvind Earle, Jim Trout, and Brice Mack. This background will be perfect for a great Tramp cel! Tiny tear in bottom right corner, away from painting. Small tear in top right corner above barrel. Minor handling and edge wear, with tape on some border areas. Good condition.
