Krazy Kat Concept Drawings Original Art Group of 2 (c. 1920s-30s). George Herriman's classic comic strip character Krazy Kat was first animated by Hearst films in 1916. He went through many producers and studios. John Bray took over in 1920, Bill Nolan in 1925, Charles Mintz in 1929, and eventually in the 1930s the shorts were distributed by Columbia. This is a rare series of two character development/concept art pieces of Krazy Kat and some secondary characters. Krazy Kat has his trademark scarf on. Art is in ink and graphite on both pieces. Top piece with Krazy Kat images measuring 2" has inked dialogue of "Hey!" Bottom sheet is all secondary characters with the numbers 50-50. Framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 16" x 24"; mat openings are 10" x 8". Considered extremely rare. Frame is sold as-is, artwork condition is Very Good.
